UM, way more power and torque than any honda 4-cyl.....no one else has done it.....availability is better and damand is not as high, so pricing for this motor is accually cheaper than a GSR.

hahahahahhaha

sure wya mre power, way more torque

availibility is not bad at all, price foor the engine alone is 500-3000 depending on condition.

so you say get a great engine fro $1000
then you get a great AUTO tranny for $1000

not bad

then you cut the front half of your civic off and build a custom tube chassis. cause you have to since the engine is larger than an h22a (which barely fits in a civic).

then you have massive rewiring to do.

then you think that weight balance is off with an H series/ imagine how it is with a V6!!!!!

im sure making it fit is gonna cost you over $7500 easily.
sure it will lbe fast in a straight line...

well,if i incorperate the acura cl struts up front and keep all my upper and lower tie, tower bars and sway bars, there should be no problems with weight transfer around corners. I have access to all the tools and materials to make this engine fit because its what I do for a living. I am also very good with wiring but with the cl having so many more electrical features than a 95 civic. wiring will be a nightmare. I'll most likely have to say the hell with the a/c and heating and maybe have to wire up some after market gauges because it would be so much easier than trying to tap into the factory gauges. would need to use the cabin harness from the cl too and ecu of course. would need an aftermarket pump that is up to stock 3.2 vtec specs.

Alright, a couple things. Struts are the least of your suspension worries with this swap. If nothing else, you'll need custom made axles, probably a custom firewall and possible custom lower strut forks and front hubs (not sure how your going to get your axles to fit). Weight will be a huge issue considering your basically doubling the displacement up front (1.6 to I think 3.2). A simple spring and shock upgrade will not cure the problems.

Heat would be simple, just run the lines back to your heater core. A/C might be possible with custom endjoints and hardlines. As for electrical, take the stock CL ECU and throw it in the garbage. Your going to need a standalone engine managment to get the thing to run. The fact that your car is a '95 and OBD I (so it's missing all the OBD II sensors) and missing all the additional sensors the ECU will probably throw a hissy fit without (not to mention any modern Acura will most likely have an imobilizer on it if '97+ Preludes and '00+ Integras do).

I'm telling you right now, if you can find a way to squeeze that thing between the frame rails and under the hood without dragging the oil pan on the ground, it would be a miracle. Getting it to run and drive safely down the road would take more than an act of God, I think anyway. If you convinced to try it, good luck man.

well,If i am using the entire cl motor,cl engine and cabin harness and ecu,obd I won't matter, the car will now be obd II. The biggest problem is by the time I get the motor up off the ground,I'll need a cowl hood and have to definately make custom wishbone's to let the higher set axels through, which means shorter struts. I'm looking at the idea of... buying an entire front clip from a salvaged car and welding the frame rails forward to my eg chassis. that would make to engine and chassis bolt right in but, since its wider, the front wheels will stick out further in the front than the back and that would look like hammered shit. The more I look into this it aint worth it. I also own a 2000 accord coupe and keep forgeting how much smaller my civic is. I still would like to do something different maybe look into a k-series swap.

should be interesting, reason i suggested tube frame was teh 4 inch difference in the width of a 3.0 CL and the civic. if you do a tube chassis you can keep the stock width and hide teh engine better.
