Default Car wont start

Hey guys/girls I was driving my car yesturday (Monday) and everything was o.k. but after it was sitting for a few hours I went to go out again and the car wont start. When I turn the key the starter kicks on and the engine starts to turn but it doesn't even chug or try to kick over. I went out this morning to try again and fix it and I was able to get it to kick over for a few seconds and then it died. Before it died it was able to store a dtc of 43. This has to do with the fuel supply system so I checked into the pump and I can here it kick on when I turn the key to the on position and I also checked the main relay and that checked out to be good also. Lastly I went and pulled a plug to see if I could smell some gas and I could. First thing tomorrow I'm going to change the filter to see if that's it but this isn't even up to its maintanance time yet. So my question is this, if I go and change the filter and it still wont start what should be my next step in resolving this problem? Sorry about this being so long but I wanted to give all the details so that someone can hopefully help me. TIA

Have you tested the starter? The fact that the engine won't even turn over seems to indicate you've got a faulty starter.

Check for spark? Since you hear the fuel pump & you can smell gas when you pulled a plug, I'd be looking for problems with your spark.

JimBlake, I have checked for spark and this doesn't seem to be the problem, also I have just replaced the ignitor, coil, cap, rotor, and so on.
AwwsChw, I did one test on the starter because the other ones require me to take it out and I was trying to stay away from this because if it wasn't the problem then that's a big waste of time. I will look into this further though.

since you just replaced all of these ignition components could it be possible that you didnt time the spark at the right time. maybe you could check that. keep me posted

well bad news everyone. I had a shop take a look at it today and they said my timing belt has gone to sh**. So what do you think the possibilities are that the valves are still in good shape?

Check your valve lash. Any bent valves should have larger clearance than before.

unfortunatly it is a greatly possible that you have damaged your valves or pistons. find out if your engine is interferance or non-interferance, if it is a non-interferance then you have nothing to worry about. in a non-interferance motor the pistons have grooves the shape of the valves so that if the valves are wide open and the piston is at TDC they will not touch. you could do a compression test and if the compression is low do a cylinder leakage test. if you need help with the tests let me know. these tests are great for finding the problems without tearing the motor apart only to find out that you didnt need to do so. -keep me posted

Well I had the shop fix the belt anyway and they said it was fine and I could pick it up. Well I went to pick it up and the car ran like shit, bad idle and horrible top end power. We all know that the top end power is everything in these cars. So I pop the hood and find that there is a horrible noise coming from the distributor, so I call acura this time for some assistance. The first thing that they say is that it sounds like a timing problem or bent valves, so they are taking a look at it tomorrow for me. What gets me is that the shop that fixed the belt said they would know if the valves were bent but didn't say anything about a problem when they told me to pick it up, so I assume that they are o.k. I guess I will just have to wait till tomorrow but said like new cams and valves are coming my way. What do you guys suggest for new cams and valves??
