I'm an Engine's N00b and need your helps
Hi everyone, I really need ya help this time.
BTW, I kinda wanted a swap for my other 94 Accord (my gf's actually). Anyways, things didn't turn out to fit the budget so I was thinking of juice it up. But when it come to n2o + engine work, i'm a complete idiot. I didn't know anything back then when I had my h22 swap running NOS dry kit. I barely use it though.
Anyways, the car is 1994 Accord EX (2.2L SOHC VTEC) F22b Series I believe. I want to run highest shot possible without damage the engine (140K mi). Should I limit down the 75 shot max by the new Zex wet kit or get more with the NOS nozzle Directport one? I know that a dry and a wet kit can only max out at 75 shot. However, it's not that safe or reliable for the car this old to run 75 without proper care. A directport is safer for bigger shots. However, I don't know if that F22B can handle that much of the directport. As for the engine work, I only did basics addons to her car: CAI, and Exhaust. The EX header's is pretty good so I didn't change it out.
What kit would you recommend and what should I do to make sure it's complete safe before juicing it?, like changing the internals (gaskets, spark plugs, Cam, etc). Also, if possible, can you list the estimate cost for each component. Right now, I can only think of Zex's new Wet kit and that NOS Nozzle kit. However, I can get discounts for NX kits as well, just don't know if their kits can stand up to the 2 above.
Also, she won't use it often, only once a while. But I just want to make sure that it'll be the safest when she runs it and get the max HP gain possible.
Thanks y'all a lot.

If you're planning on running the nitrous without any internal work, I'd first do a compression test and make sure everything is running as it should. Personally I'd only run a 50shot, but I think a 75shot is possible with some minor fuel upgrades.
Thanks justin. Since she'll rarely use it, therefore I'd want to go as high as possible. If it requires internal works, then I'd do it - That is if it won't cost me over 500 (not include the kit). If I want to run 100 Shots or more, what can I do to make it more efficient and safe?
id do a zex kit over a nos kit and definitely over a nx kit, but i would not run a wet shot unless ur doing something with forced induction on a n/a setup definitely go either dry or direct port, direct port involves alot more work but will allow for larger shots later on down the line if ur planning on stepping up and building the bottom end, i personally run a zex dry kit part number 82011

and have not had any issues, i bought an after market msd ignition system and use zex plugs but thats it. for that larger engine 75 shot shouldnt be a problem for occasional fun but if u plan on using it more often id suggest a 50 shot for reliability issues, if ur not building the bottom with forged parts or building ur fuel system up. with a 75 id suggest a beefier fuel system and retarding the timing a good amount.

How much would it cost for building the engine and the fuel system? And what should I look for when I decide to build those up? I'm a n00b at the internals, but i can learn really quick
I've just researched a lil something. for a 94 f22b (or B1??) SOHC vtec model.
For Fuel system/injection Upgrade, would these:
1/. VENOM Super Flow Fuel Injector
2/. Venom Super Cool Fuel Pump
3/. AEM High Volume Fuel rail
4/. AEM HIGH VOLUME ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATORS
5/. SPE Helix Power Tower Throtle Body Spacer - 2.2L SOHC VTEC - BILLET ALUMINUM - Design raises throttle body injection unit 1 inch - creates a vortex air flow for better fuel atomization, power and performance
do?
Will these increase the performace? and what else I'd need to upgrade concerning other engine works?

:blah: After Researching, I've found that a Total Fuel Upgrade as I listed above will run me 600-700. Plus an Ignition system will be another 250-300 + a N2O kit would runs me somewhere 1700 USD. Which is the exact price I'd get a H22A JDM block for *sigh* And that's not Labor included. Directport and anything above 75 shots are now out of the picture since it requires a lot of internal works.
BTW, I've heard that a ZEX wet kit is safer and better than a dry kit? But now, 2 people already told me that dry kit is better
So what is the least I can do to safely run 75 wet or dry (whichever is safer) shot? ZEX plugs and?

i was the person who imed u, id suggest a zex dry kit not wet because ur manifold is not made for fuel (too many angles and places for it to pool up, unless u plan a forced induction system). for only a 75 shot id run zex colder spark plugs and id retard the timing about 2 degrees. anything over a 75 shot ud need a better fuel rail, regulator, pump, and injectors. a complete nitrous setup involves about the same as a forced induction system. dry systems and direct port are used for Naturally aspirated cars.
