Default Need Help Asap!!!!

ok first off i need to have my car done by tommarow morning. right now im in the middle of my b16 tranny swap. im positive everything is unbolted/disconnected. but i spent 3 hours last night trying to disconnect the damn bellhousing from the block. its all gullded up, ive went thru half a can of PBblaster and broken a small tab on the tranny casing trying to pry this mother off, im just looking for some suggestions fast, cause i need my car tomarrow (carlisle) and any help is greatly apppriciated.

i dont understand why this is so hard because an ACT clutch was installed not even 4000 miles ago, but all the tranny bolts were overtorqued but not stripped

thanks,
nick

Default What's up?

Check the one's Bumnah listed underneath and take the damn starter off. One of the starters bolts threads all the way into the block (I forget which one). I usually take the starter completely out and then use that hole to grab it (I'm usually by myself doing this stuff too). When you drop the tranny, place a jack under it and grab it from above and try to lift and pull it apart. If your not like me and have friends, have someone lay underneath and catch it when it comes off. If they have a hammer, have them tap the casing to try to vibrate it loose. Also, the rear engine mount has two bolts though go through it and into the tranny, make sure those are off too.

Just remeber, it wouldn't be Carlisle if you weren't doing 300 stupid things that will need finished to take your car. Seeya.
