Default H22 overheating.

Hey I swapped an h22 in my accord and I still have a few sensors to wire up but I started and drove it to see how it ran and it overheats, I checked the water pump and thermostat, both good. And my f22 never overheated so i know the problem is with the H22 and not the radiator or something bolted to the car. Any idea if one of the sensors not hooked could cause it to overheat or does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem??? Thanx

Are you getting any smoke at all? Is any coolant getting displaced from the radiator into the reservoir? If you say your thermostat and water pump are good, and your fans are working, then I would think it'd be the headgasket.

Probably just have air in your coolant system. Have you burped it?

run the engine with the radiator cap off or loose, and the heater blasting full-hot

yea, lets hope thats what it is and not the headgasket, good luck man i hope thats what it turns out to be...also, inspyral would prolly know the answer to this, does the f22 and h22 run at close to the same operating temperature or not? Cause you are using everything off the f22 right? even the thermostat? so say that the h22 stays a lil bit hotter then the f22 , this would cause this, unless of course the gauge is going ALL the way up. Is it just staying a lil too hot or is it going all the way up?

also, the sensors you are talking that you did not connect, was one of them the coolant temp sensor? or would he not be getting a reading at all?

You can take it to any "Tuneup" shop like a smog shop and they will "Flush" you coolant system. If that dont work would also sugest an aftermaket radiator. How close is the header to the radiator?
