Default Custom piping?

Okay my friends think that if they get a custom piping the exact same size as 2 1/4 with a preformance exhaust (greddy, thermal, apexi) they think the custom exhaust would gain just as much hp as the name brand ones and that it has the same mandrell bends, i said probably not because the piping is different. any answers please? Thanks

custom or prefab exhaust.....just remember unless you go to a shop that mandrel bender, that crush bending is gonna decrease the pipe size its all about what you can afford....if you can afford something from a company go for it...if not get someone to do you a custom job....ive always wanted to see a crx with side pipes

You're talking about exhaust pipes? Nothing really magical about them. Shop for price.

Custom will work just as well as long as the person who makes it isn't a total idiot.

If you can't find a local muffler shop with a mandrel-bender, you can have them cut and fabricate an exhaust out of pre-mandrel-bent sections. At the bare minimum, you would need 2 90s for the offset to the passenger side, 2 45s and a 90 for the hump over the rear LCA, and some straight sections. You could probably do it with any number of combinations of bends, but that should give you a rough idea of what you would need.
