Please switch from the syntec...it isnt truly synthetic... I say go with Mobile 1 5w30 synthetic, thats what I run in mine! Get the Honda Oil Filter(has new crush washer for drain plug) and is a better filter than aftermarket ones....

Also use Honda Transmission fluid....

BTW dont use slick 50, I've "heard" that over time it builds up on things and can clog oil ports, and lower oil pressure..very very bad things....

I just changed my oil yesterday. I put Castral Syntec Blend and a pureflow oil filter with a 98% multi-pass filtration and 94% single-pass filtration (i think )

10w30 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic since 1200 miles
used 10w30 castrol GTX for first 200 miles and the next 1000, then switched to M1 for 53k since the build.

mobil 1 oil filter since day-one

Notice everyone uses Honda MTF. What about using brake fluid? Does that work? My freind said brake fluid is ok, and used that instead. Anyone have problems with Redline MTF? Heard its nooooo good.

maybe he used brake fluid in the clutch line.
not in the diff case

honda uses the equivalent of 10w30 SAE motor oil for their tranny's. (supposedly honda MTF is different, and im sure it is. but honda says 10w30 is fine also) this is true of h and f series tranny's, im not a B or D guy, but im sure they are the same too.

brake fluid is closer to hydraulic fluid than motor oil, and its really only used because of its extremely high wet boiling point (ill assume u know the laws or pressure and temperature).
brake fluid also eats paint and skin
