Wheel hop generally happens because the front suspension on your car has no link to control caster. Nissan calls it a torsion control rod, Honda calls it a radius rod. Either way, what happens is that your main control arms move back and forth when the bushings are stressed which causes the caster to change and your wheel to hop. You can stiffen up the control arm bushings, or you can add a caster-control link. Certain Hondas come with radius rods, namely older Civics and Integras although I believe newer Accords and Preludes do still have them.

he has an 89 camero...it has a 305cu/in i think. mines like 97cu/in. haha. anyways....yea, he pulls very very hard on me in 1st, and at the beginning of each gear, but i catch up at the top of every gear and top end too. i think the 0-60 on his car is listed as about 8 seconds tho, so its not unbelievable. i was surprised, cause he always talked to much shit. he'd be like "i walkeda turbo civic the other day." haha. oh well.

Here we go again - import vs. domestic
He must have a tired car or be a sucky driver. A stock ex should do about 16 in the 1/4.
Motor mount inserts helped me for wheel hop. The trick with the silicon sounds like a great idea!
