better throttle response?

Default better throttle response?

what did he mean by pulling on the cable and how is the slack defined? and which way should i turn the adjusting nut to get that better response?

You don't want it too tight. About 1/2" of deflection is fine.

It's the distance the cable moves before the throttle starts opening. Use a ruler.

so, to measure deflection on an alternator belt, I just pull on the belt and see how far I can pull it before the alternator turns?

You usually measure deflection on a belt by twisting it. A half turn either way is usually good tension. They also make tools to measure deflection if you want to be precise, but for belts, I find the twisting method usually works well.

what belt are we talking about here? the timing belt or the throttle cable?

We just tightened it up til it was good and snug and there was NO slack in the line at all . . .it didnt make a HUGE difference but it gives a lil more response
