Swap
I odered anther ecu...I have a new cai to install so maybe that will bring my intake air temp down...As for the high idle, I think the throttle cable is too tight...I need a gsr cable...Back to the Acura dealer...
Great...I was told today that it might be the wiring harness, not the ecu...I hope to get to the heart of the matter soon...then I can post some pics of the motor and stuff...Then comes body work...Yay...
2) The codes for IAT sensor (10) and ECU diagnostic faliure (00) are completely different.
How did your shop conclude that you need a new ECU?
3) The fast idle problem can be caused if you're trying to re-use the LS throttle cable. It is too short; you'll need the GSR cable instead. If you've already swapped cables, then it's probably a vacuum leak or a clogged IAC valve.

I have a gsr ecu now, p72. The vtec is still not kicking in...You said I need to run additional wires to the vtec solenoid? Is there any articles or links that I might find useful? I detatched the throttle cable and still had the high idle...

When your shop told you that a new ECU was needed, how did they retrieve the ECU fault code? Since a missing VTEC solenoid signal will send the P72 into limp mode, I highly doubt you need a new ECU.
RE: WIRING
As for the VTEC wiring, a competent shop should have:
a) known they were dealing with an LS and
b) run the additional wiring already.
Here's a link to a related swap with the pinout for a P72 ECU.

If you paid your installers to handle the wiring aspect of this swap, then the easiest solution is to let them do what you hired them to.
RE: FAST IDLE:
Since you detached the cable and there's no doubt that the throttle is closed, start by checking for vacuum leaks.
A footnote: As I said earlier, make sure you're using a GSR throttle cable and that there is no slack in the throttle cable when the throttle plate is closed and the accelerator pedal is at the top of its travel.

Good to hear you're running the right ECU.

There are safeguards built into the ECU which — if ignored — can lead to serious damage.
** Until you fix this properly and give the P72 an input for oil pressure at the VTEC solenoid, you will continue to be in limp mode. **
If you have to skimp on something, wait on the IAT code to get the VTEC wiring done right. Take the bus if you have to save the money.

So I just run the wires to the harness, then from the harness to the ecu?...Sounds simple enough...On the pin diagram, all I worry about is the yellow spots, not the red?...Sorry if I am being redundant...
