the goal is simple.. to have the fastest and still be the best lookin' civic around! nice point on the "swap" / "conversion" either way it would still be bad azz and fast as hell!! and that is still original!

What's the K20a in? I've heard of the engine but don't remember what it's in. At first I thought you was talking about the KA20DET, I was wtf would you put a Nissan engine in a civic, then I was like

I'm looking at a pos CRX and I want to be one of the few with a ITR engine in it. No one around my little slice of paridise has it that I know of. Hell, not that many people have hybrid civics either.

Uh... I'm not sure what part of NC you're talking about... but there are a TON of hybrid civics in NC... Hell, I know of a B20VTEC CRX... LS turbo CRX... B18C5 5th gen hatch, and an H22 accord, and that's just people I know...

I still question people's motivation if the only reason is "nobody else has it yet." That's just dumb. If you buy something then someone else buys it, is there really any point of being able to say that you had it first? If you want to go fast, just figure out what's going to get you fast. Don't worry about props or what the local scene is gonna think.

I live near Hickory, over in the foot hills. All the civics around here are a bunch of ricer teenagers with full body kits, tons of stickers, huge wings, and just an exhaust.

I live over in the foot hills. There's like 5x more people in High Point than Hickory.

Well, I like the B18C5 not only because it's rare but I value highway performance over 1/4th performance and I know that the ITR is better on the highway.

None of the cars I mentioned are in High Point. Like I'm saying, just because they aren't in your area doesn't mean they don't exist. If you went to the link I sent, you'd see that there are perfomance oriented people from all over.

Come to Hickory one good time, you'll see what I mean I've been to High Point like twice on a Saturday night and there are nice cars and tons of them. I'm sure they exist but I have yet to see one, unless they're hiding some where

Most of the "nice cars" you see are slow as dirt. There are a couple fast ones, but most of the fast, good handling cars, do hide, or aren't much to look at.

Bottom line, if you build a car for the "uniqueness factor" first instead of personal satisfaction, you'll be disappointed, b/c anything you can think up is probably already within an hour of you.

Probably, but I did notice quite a bit of Supras, S2000s, and a couple of NSXs. But as you stated, sleepers own.

Back to the subject, if they've put V8s and V10s in Civics and CRXs I bet that almost anything you can think of (within reason) has been done before.
