1) i was wondering the best crankshaft to use with the ls/vtec... i have a ls and a gs-r crank sitting in the garage...

2) how good are the stock itr valves and guides? (ls/vtec + 100 shot of nitrous...)

3) what brand injectors do you guys recommend? and do i have to have them for the ls/vtec , or can it wait til i get nitrous?

4) do the itr and gs-r v-tec solenoid have any differences???

1. Well if you use the GSR crank, you are taking away the advantage of the longer stroke of the LS crank that gives it more displacement than the GSR. Use the LS crank, and get it balanced.

2. If you wanna run 100+ shot of nitrous, definitely invest in a set of stainless steel valves. Nitrous creates high cylinder temperatures.

3. If you're gonna run 100+ shot of nitrous, you're gonna need to go with a direct port kit. Each intake runner is tapped and has its own nozzle to spray nitrous and fuel, so no strain is put on the injectors to flow more fuel under nitrous. So, use an injector size that corresponds for the kind of motor build up you are going to have. A pretty much stock LSVtec can use stock LS/GSR/ITR injectors.

4. Vtec solenoids are not different between the GSR and ITR.

You'll need to go with bigger than stock injectors for sure, but I'm sure you already have a fuel system planned out. I hope this isn't a daily driver going with 13:1 compression, and on nitrous it's going to take a lot of tuning to get rid of detonation, and race gas....but it'll be fast as hell!!

I see most people using 450cc DSM injectors. It seems to work well enough for Hondas/Acuras.

Vortex? Is that a brand of nos or something? Or did you meen "VORTEC"? Vortec is a centrifugical supercharger that is basicaly half a turbo IE compressor side hooked up to your cam gears... <----- sucks, might as well go turbo.. or should I say blows... It lacks torque, thats what a SC is for

im quite the dumb ass, but a good crank to use would be the b17 crank. you will loose some displacement. but its a good crank for high reving ls/crvtec motors. 2nd. the stock itr valves and valve guides are fine. you can use the skunk 2 valves or the jhp nitride coated ones and gain .2 of a point on comp. youll probably be maxing the stock injectors out with 100 shot and high comp. so as stated either rc or dsm with a standalone/piggyback.
