F22 hybid block/head?
I have a question. First let me tell you what I've got. I have an F22 from a 94 Accord EX, Vtec engine. I also have an F22 from a 90 Accord EX. It does NOT have Vtec (too old). Now the Vtec motor has 167,000 miles on it and the non-Vtec motor has 140,000 miles on it and seems to pull much harder. Is ot possible to put the Vtec head on the non-Vtec motor. I am under the impression that the block is the same between the two cars, especially since the 94 engine is SOHC as well. So all that being said, can I put the Vtec head and ECU on the Non-Vtec block. I eyeballed it and the engines look extremely similar, almost twins, except for that big VTEC. If anyone knows or can offer insight it would be very helpful. Dropping in a whole engine is no prob for me, but this kinda stuff I am not sure about. (Notice the sig)
If you're selling the '90 you might as well just try and keep it stock instead of modding it. You'll just be throwing money away.
As far as actually doing this, I'm sure the heads are interchangeable. Your main problem comes from the wiring. The wiring scheme for all Hondas changed for the '92 model year so between your '90 and '94 the wiring is completely different.

i would suggest instead of hassling with a fseries sohc headswap, pull that stock engine out, and drop in a stock engine from a 94-95 Accord EX. itll probably cost the same amount of money, less time, and less hassles.
