Now if I can find a Ls block for the smae price it would cost to have new rings put in then I'd rather put in a LS. I've been hearing alot of good and bad about block guards. I've been told if your going to get one you better weld it in if not its usless.

not only will you have to weld it in, you'll have to deck the block, and rebore/hone the sleeves

I planed on the hone and the decking but not the bore didn't want to thin up the walls anymore.

it may be necessary due to the distortion caused by pressing in the guard

Any suggestions on what rings to use? Should I go back stock or aftermarket?

Well I’m not the grand master or the Spoon man him self or anything like that. If anything I’m not stupid. I know a little. I know a lot of people like to throw shit together and call it the best car on the block. I like to try to do It right. Even though a Crvtec turbo with a stock bottom probably isn’t right. Besides I have an Ls block just in case.
