Cool, thanx schmoo. So, pretty much the only reason I would need tuning is because of the cams right? Would tuning cause a decrease in gas mileage? And about how much does it cost? Thanx a lot guys

Price will vary by market.

You need to change the vtec engaugement point, and raise the redline to 8500 rpm. The difference in fuel consumption is minimal. I would get a S2 or similar Intake Manifold. Not sure how CA inspection works, but i hear that its harsh.

Personally, I would run the OEM GSR ecu over the S2 until you get it on the dyno. Over-Rev could cause premature bearing failure, etc.

No worries.

You don't necessarily need tuning, but any application can benefit from it. At the bare minimum, a VAFC where you can adjust vtec engagement is sufficient. If you have larger plans down the road, the VAFC's lack of ignition timing control and precise fuel control makes it only suitable for mild build-ups.

Tuning shouldn't decrease gas mileage. In some cases, it will increase it from where it was in an untuned state. With your mods, you shouldn't see any difference in fuel mileage compared to a stock engine assuming you have it properly tuned and don't drive like a maniac.
