Default which wire to check codes on a 94 civic ex?

In the book it says that you have to hook a jumper on 2 wires by the kicker panel. I cant find the right wires and they dont say what colors they are. Does anyone know where exactly the wires are and/or what color they are? I tried on a set of wires I thought was right but the check engine light didnt flash.. Maybe I did it wrong too?

The car is a 1994 honda civic ex 1.6L vtec

You can get a universal 4-wire O2 and wire it onto your stock harness if you don't want to pay for an OEM one. Just make sure you get the signal, signal ground, and heater wires right, or else it won't work right. I have an OEM primary O2 that has its harness extended if you need one. The extension is pretty long, but you can cut it off and shorten it if you want.
