Nope. 8,000 is the redline for b16a and b18c1. The b16b and b18c5 reline at 8,400. The S2000 redlines at 9,000.

actually...stock is 8k...how ever..it can handle 8600 all day long..my best friend has an ECU with a modified rev limiter...and he does 8000+ all day long...however he is upgrading his springs and retainers due to his new Spoon cams...so he can take it to 9000+ if he wants to..

Default What's up?

The redline is 8,000 rpm and the fuel cutoff is around 8300. The engine peaks power at around 7600-7800 so there's not much benefit above that. Watch raising your rev limiter without upgrading your valvetrain as you can float a valve and destroy your engine. Also, once the hp peaks, there is little benefit going past that point, so 8000-8300 is best. Seeya.
