The new auto GT's around here click off mid 14's and sticks are quiker with a descent driver, slower with an awful driver. Anyway the comparison is in straightline acceleration, that's it.
P.S. note to self never mention a domestic being quick on a honda board.

true true.
haha words of wisdom.
ok enough of that. I have a 98ex also and was saving up for a b18c5 but I also plan to build it up, replacing rods, pistons, forced induction, etc and I am more content with a sleeper than an obnoxious body kits, needless spoilers, stupid loud exaust..... I think you know where I am going with this. If u are wanting to be, and pardon my stereotyping, a wannabe racing douchebag and spend as little as possible to look like a b.a., aka whigger or ricer, just throw on a body kit and imagine your fast, or throw on that turbo, that works too. Ok sorry about being blunt and im sure im gonna hear something about it, but just venting. Now to the advice, I would go with the engine. There are too many benefits not to. Higher baseline torque/HP so if you decide you want more power later down the road, it will be a lil easier to tend with, higher rev'in = fun fun, a lot less miles. The only way I would not recommend the engine is if you would be selling the car sometime soon, then a new engine could narrow your buyers down a little because they'll think, since there is a bigger, better engine, you pushed the car, but if you had this, why the hell wouldn't you?!?
be nice with this post, i just said what u wouldnt. and all this is just my opinion so chill.
