Good for high rpms and flow, but poor for low end torque. The main complaint about the Skunk2 is the lack of low end torque, but the only thing it really does is shift the peak torque back in the powerband because of those huge runners and plenum tank. I do agree that it is too large for a stock motor and should only be considered with a moderate N/A or a forced induction build.

S2 manifold = ITR manifold but with ports designed to work the p72 head.

the plenum itself is slightly larger, but the runners are pretty much the same as the itr manifold.

you can run the gsr manifold with out the butterflies, and you will not gain anything from it.

the gsr manifold runners for the low end are square in shape while the runners for the high end are round in shape, when the butterflies kick open all the runners are running you don't switch between one and the other.

you may gain a little something on the mid range, but i think you'll lose power on the low end with different style ports.

i used to run a skunk2 manifold with a 68mm tb. i had the skunk2 manifold portmatched to the 68mm size.

i belive itr manifold is 62, skunk2 is 64.

ericks racing is using a gsr manifold on their car (they were last time i read), but it's heavily modified.

for a street car i'd go with the skunk2 manifold. it was honda' first try on the dual manifold setup i believe, there is a reason it wasn't used on the ITR motor.

you don't need to up he vtec, because you're still running gsr cams and they are optimized to switch to vtec at 4400.

the skunk2 manifold works fine on an NA car. i ran it and i had pretty much a stock car, it gave me great throttle response paired with my tb, and i def. felt it pulled harder. it's good manifold.

94 gsr dual runner IM mod

search for the above post. I am aiming for a midrange monster. I like the
B18c1 IM because there are actually 2 reversion chambers!! The waves bounce back from the back of the intake valves up the short runner and are affected first in the deep dual runner junction area prior to spilling out into the "shared" main chamber. This leaves open tuning which might be based on the alternative 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th harmonic wave??
I guess I am trying to max the positives. Do you think I should get some "Holley" annual boosters and weld them in right before the injectors and aim them at the port roof to max atomization? haha. Good luck.

I dont think you've even owned your car for two years. But yeah, stay with the skunk2 if you have it.
