Turbo Chargers
I have a 1995 Integra SE and i want to install a turbo. A friend of mine is going to sell me a turbo kit, an intercooler kit plus instalation for 2400$. Is this worth the money or should i continue my search
Who makes the turbo kit? A well maintained turbo should last 100,000 miles or more.
Few ways to find out relative projected reliability:
1) How much CFM is the turbo capable of, and how much was he running?
2) Who makes the kit
3) Did he have a turbo timer
4) How many miles did he run the kit
The intercooler is a good sign as the cooler charge is less stressful on the turbo's thrust bearings.

I wouldn't pay more then about $1,200 for a complete used kit if I were ever to buy a "kit"....You can build your own kit for cheaper then that....
Like it was mentioned above...who makes the kit? brand?
Turbo size, trim a/r?
intercooler dimensions? fuel management?
If the three letters F. M. U. are anywhere in the kit.....don't waste your time..

Learn how to read turbo maps, and make sure the turbo matches your enigne and your application. Find out everything you need to know. By that time you'll be able to piece your own kit together for cheaper.
