timing

Default timing

Hey my freind just bought a GSR and hes been fiddlign with the timing. he says (he just did it today haven't been by yet), that he has it idling at 200 or so. This seems like it could cause problems, can anyone tell me if there could be any caused by this?

Have him set his ignition timing back to stock(16BTC) and see where it idles. If it still idles low, he can raise the idle speed by turn the flathead screw near the throttle body outward. If he needs to lower his idle speed, he'll need to turn it inward.

The screw is labeled #1 in this pic, it's just under the MAP sensor:
