It didn't.

He is referring to the problem I had with my chipped OBD1 ecu tuned with uberdata running fine one day and then super rich the next. Since then, it has run super rich (11.5:1 at idle) and he suggested that I uncheck the "disable closed loop" box in uberdata since he believes that the O2 sensor is going haywire, but it still has the same problem.

I am really starting to think that the problem is not in the chip or the program, but either the ECU or the wiring since it all worked perfectly one day and then strangely the next day and every day since.

I really want to get rid of this blue box, but getting 14 mpg running super rich and bogging all over the place is really putting a damper on things. I am going to try a different ECU and see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise, I am stumped.....:dunno:

come on now shmoo, you're supposed to be one of the guru's on HAN, lol. I'm just busting your balls, but if your teg is your only mode of transportation, getting a new ecu could prove quite difficult, unless you have a nice chunk of change just lying around the house for a rainy day...god knows I wish I did, cuz my damn CEL wont stay the hell off, so now I have to pray nothing seriously goes wrong till I can afford to put it in the shop, cuz I don't have the know how to trace where the prob is or for that matter the tools to fix it!

good luck on figuring it out though! I will say though if you want to do it right I suggest the AEM EMS, my friend who I haven't talked to in a while has it on his turbo'd gsr and he said he's had no problems with his car since he got it tuned well! but I also know the AEM EMS holds a stiff price as well, but my friend said it's worth every penny he spent on it!

I have plenty of money to get this working right, but the EMS is way too expensive, especially for my setup. Since I already have all the stuff for Hondata, I might go with that, but I fear the same problem will happen since it doesn't seem to be software related. A basemap in Crome was just as futile. I spent $340 for a wideband so I could street tune with a free program, so I don't want to just give up now and let someone else tune it for me. There has got to be something wrong and I guess I just have to troubleshoot every possible thing that could cause this problem that no one has heard of.

yeah i'll agree the EMS is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and my friends teg runs at about 14psi and had over 300whp last time he had it dynoed so I mean a good bit of difference b/n him and you. So good luck man, and have fun cuz that's what it's all about! Nothing more rewarding than running around in something you put the effort into and whooping little noobs butts when they all think their stock civic or rsx is da shit! lol

shmoo i just did some more test.. here's a few things i wanted to know before i got anymore advice..
1) does it surge
2) is your purge valve pluged in or off..

Try this for a base..
pull out a lot of fuel in the first 3 columns from 0-1500 rpms
Its only having to do with your fuel from what i can see.. again lets me and u keep cracking at it i'm sure we'll find the bug somewhere get back to me.

1) Yes, but only when cold. Damn uberdata and its lack of cold idle scripting.
2) Either way, it doesn't make a difference. The only thing it helps is the hissing noise when the engine is cold.

I have done that too. With no luck in either Crome or uberdata.
