Turbo running question

Ok,
I yesterday, I got my DSM 450cc injectors, the resistor box, and the ECU reprogrammed for the bigger injectors.
I had him set VTEC at 4800, and he gave me a little more fuel than on his setup, throughout the band.
He also set the timing retard at 0.75 deg/pound boost, and showed me that at 8lbs it was still a bit conservative, so I stayed with it.
The thing absolutely rips!!
It drives perfectly like a turbo car should. I'm gonna get a datalogging cable made up, and then tune it a bit more when I can, but it's almost as if it drives perfect. I got a 3500 rpm launch control, and a shift light (check Engine) at 7500, fuel cut 8119.
With the lower ignition setting the car has alot of torque down low, it definitely helped.

Why so low for vtec cross over?
Generally the power curve is better when you raise the cross-over, lowering it usually creates a dip in the power curve.

Told yah so...

Well glad you are liking your new setup. You should be god with your VTEC x-over where it is at. I hear of people lowering it instead of raising it when they go turbo, and I've never really felt the need to question that logic. Just remember to get your AFR's check with a WB setup when you get a chance. Even though your setups are identical it is still a good idea to have your AFR's checked out to make sure your AFR's are where they should be.

Also if you want info on the cheapest way to set up a datalogging cable check the link below. You have a lot of options, but the $9 Nokia data cable is the best one. If you are lucky your local Radioshack will have one in stock. And you can download the device drivers for the cable at the pgmfi.org site.

Yeah, well you're kinda right...
Generally, VTEC point is optimum on stock cars, and making it higher would only hurt my power output...
Making it lower also will hurt power output, so u gotta get it right at the point that the cams switch over to VTEC.
Best way is to dyno on low and high cams, then pick point where they overlap...
For some reason, he set it REALLY low at 4300 on DOHC motor, so I told him to raise it to 4800, cause my friend had a GSR with chip, n his VTEC turned on at 4900, and it seemed the best, smoothest transition...
It seems like it would be better off switching over at 5200 or so, but I'll just get him to change it when I get a datalogging cable.
Also, we're gonna ghetto tune the car using a laptop once I get the cable.
