Built right it'd be fine, but done sloppy, you're just asking for trouble.

 

Might get more power by just sticking with LS turbo and putting the extra $ into building the LS.

 

Id rather have GSR turbo just for the fact that no matter what LS/vtec will leak oil and with turbo u dont want that. Gsr's have a good rep too, how many honda's do u know that use a GSR run 9's? they are strong motors. The LS is a strong motor too, probably can run 10psi on stock internals and maybe some Dsm injectors or other bigger injectors. My friend ran 12.7 in his Si hatch with a stock Ls turbo on 7psi.

 

That's my suggestion right there. With a turbo setup, all the power you want is just a crank of the boost controller away. You'd be better off spending the $1000 for the VTEC head and everything else on a good set of pistons and rods for the LS motor. Just my opinion.

LS/VTEC's don't nessicarly leak oil, assuming all the connections are done correctly and solidly. Problem with most LS/VTEC is there not done correctly or solidly. Seeya.

 

-that statement is quite wrong.. i dont see where you get all ls/vtecs or crvtecs leak oil?
-the reason they leak is because someone was half ass on the oil lines. my roomate runs a built b20 vtec and it has ran atleast 10k miles and for 6 months problem free with constant 8500 redlines. also one more thing have you had direct personal experiance with the lsvtecs that were leaking oil or is it just from gets said on forums?

 

without turbo you wouldn't want it leaking oil too.

 

they also make ls/b20/vtec head gaskets so no oil leaks there either!
