This is the JUN2/ITR combo in comparison to CTR cams: (JUN2 is in red)

As you can see, the low end lobes are nearly identical, keeping things streetable. Then there's just gobs of midrange power, which trickles off near 8 grand. They didn't rev it up any higher because this was w/ stock valve train.

I believe the reason both sets of cams weaken out in the high end is because this dyno was using a stock ITR exhaust, aftermarket header. Mid range would most likely be more impressive with your setup.

Motor:
B18C5 cylinder head, stock ports, stock valve train, stock.
Milled 12 thousandths for 11:1 static compression.
AEM Intake, DC JDM header and test pipe
Stock ITR b-pipe and Stock ITR muffler
Moroso Catch can, Apexi V-AFC
Seems like you've already got this motor together, just wanted to show.

all good information... awesome. I want to see a dyno of that ITR with the 12-13 static CR. That should be really cool... what kind of head work was necessary for the B20 build w/ b16 head? Did you have to have it spot matched and all that jazz... what valvesprings, etc... I am curious. I know they are TQ monsters and built right they are awesome from what I hear and see. I have seen a B20VTEC at the local track run 13.8 on slicks untuned in a purple 93civ dx coupe. I was impressed, I believe it was on an Si tranny with a 6puck disk. The guy took off the slicks and thin rear wheels put on his volks and drove home. Nice car. Purple... not my first choice but a total sleeper. I am just musing right now I am planning on doing a new clutch in 10K with a kevlar disk and a happier pressure plate on maybe a comptech flywheel or something of that nature 10-12lbs or so. I have a friend that cuts flywheels on a brake machine... hehe and balanced it old school 13lbs which used to be an LS flywheel. I can see using it once its cryotreated. I dont know enough about it to be honest; my next clutch will be my first job done myself clutch wise so it will be fun. I basically just want a good strong power band with enough up top to have fun with. I am already beginning to get power blind to this setup... hehe 1800 miles already and loving it. It is getting its break in valve adjustment sometime in the week for which should make things a bit happier. Also the switch to amsoil is eminant in about 1200 miles or so. FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!

To stick with your whole concept, I'd go with an Exedy clutch & flywheel combo. They make the OEM clutches & flys for Honda and I was really pleased with the quality of mine. Their flywheel is a hair over 10 pounds and chromoly.

sweet. I will also look into that. there is so much good stuff out there I have been pushing through the weeds over the last year. It is good to know who you friends are out there to find the good stuff. I have a buddy that ordered a clutch from "rocket" on honda-tech and he is waiting for it to come in. He had a J Spec 98+ ITR tranny in, he has a stock GSR with 60K. He is doing a FULL tune up on it. He has a DC 4-2-1 header old school RS-R exhaust and a Short ram intake on it. The best thing about the car is that it looks stock. 95 rims on a 99 with koni yellows, eibach springs, comptech rear swaybar, ITR wing, ITR front lip and GSR sideskirts. It handles great. He has a Fastbrakes Spec R front setup with the OEM 11" rotor on it also. AWESOME. We just put on our Axxis Ultimates today, mine on stock GSR rotors, his on stock ITR rotors and we will see how they both work in comparison. (wonder what will grab more) Anywhoo, he ordered a 1600lb pressure plate from him and a 6-rivet forged disk with 6 springs and a kevlar face. If you subscribe look up clutch 101 on the search and it will come up. Awesome looking and not expensive. He ordered an ITR stock flywheel like I did however this time around I want to go lighter. Clay had said that the Exedy setup is awesome also, I will look into it to mainly educate myself on the upper exchelon clutches/flys for the B series cars. Anyhwoo, we will be putting in his tranny next weekend. THAT CAR WILL BE AWESOME. I cant wait to feel it once the clutch breaks in. 155-160 to the wheel is no slouch with midrange to boot not to mention the tranny to back it up... we are anticipating great runs on the track in the mid to high 14s on street tires. Let us see. I am telling him to get some Skunk cams, but the engineer in him tells me "I want to do it all at the same time." "I would rather wait!" Nah... slap in an intake cam! Oh well, different strokes I guess. Nice thing about doing that tranny is the ability to transfer more TQ through the ITR gearset 1-3 and the 4.785 final. For every ounce extra pver stock power made, it is more usable. I like that :naughty:
