servion, i understand you are good friends with josh, its good to see you here. unfortunately this board doesnt see as many people that actually know what they are talking about but from what josh has said about you, you know your shiz and thats a good thing. I just wished there were more people on this board that know from first hand experience. I wish you a good stay here and for you to spread your words of wisdom around.

I like the LS/VTEC setup, but I don't see why not just do a GS-R bottom end in the first place

because the ls block is so cheap. you can throw about 6 ls blocks away before you have paid for a gs-r block. Also, you dont HAVE to have oil squirters. The only reason honda put oil squirters there is because over LONG periods of performance racing, like circuit racing, the pistons will overheat and melt. Forged pistons on the other hand will not melt at such a low heat and since you are gonna bump the compression anyhow, you should just buy forged pistons, esp. if you are running a ls block.

well the reason i will have them on is b/c i will have the stock ls block for about a year before i can rebuild it so i want that protection then i can just have them pluged or leave them when i get my turbo

well do it to it then big baller, I on the other hand am not so lucky to be able to buy thing that I dont tend to need. Good luck with your build and hopefully he doesnt screw anything up when doing this.
