Depends on your tire size and rev limit, I trap at 118mph and have plenty to go.

The b16 can handle more power then the b20 block due to it's design. The b16 block can take 300+whp before you really need to start to worry, while the b20 will probably crack a sleeve before that. The b20 + boost is great if it's built.

On a side note how much power were you making? What size of turbo were you using? 7psi means nothing.
It just goes to show that crappy tuning will destroy a motor not the amount of boost you run.
What exactly broke in the motor? Generally you'll crack a ring land or melt a piston before you break a rod, must have been some pretty severe detonation.

compression is kinda high for boost on the b16 . 10.2:1 (jdm10.4:1)with 7psi it isn't going to hurt but at high rpm and tq i'll wear the motor down.

Anyone one know, how big the difference of performance after stock B16A engine then change the bottom to B20B? Is it really feel the difference, especially low end torque? And B16A with B20B botttom (all stock) what is the highest rpm is safe for everyday driving? thanks.
