You can but I would recomend going turbo over supercharger.
IMO for the money I would go with a b18c (usdm b18c1) because it's cheaper then take the money you saved and do a mild build (rods pistons) and then buy a turbo instead of the s/c. Invest in the tuning and you are on your way to making 400whp if you want. Or save even more money, keep the b18c stock internally and then boost it. 300whp in a civic hatch is plenty for the street. I'm pulling my motor set-up out of my car this weekend so a can sell my civic (coupe) and then buy a hatch to drop my motor into. I'm shooting for high 11's next season with the set-up the way it is now (stock motor) If I build it then i'm shooting for low 11's next season. I'm not a fan of spending the same amount of money going N/A only to have 200whp when for the same amount you can have 300whp+ with boost

Uhmm, about the a/c in the car right now..
will the current a/c bolt up to the b18c?
if not, what are the things i need to do in order to retain the a/c?

thanks..

sorry, but did a search, but i cant really understand anything about the a/c...
can someone teach me the basics or give me a crash course about the a/c?
and still, will the current a/c of the hatch bolt right up to the b18c swap?
sorry for the trouble...

thanks...

I think you'll need a del sol ac mount, other than that you should be fine.

One good thing about all 92 civics is they are all wired for vtec from the engine harness back. That means you won't need to add vtec to your harness regardless of the engine you use.

What are your plans for the car and we can tell you what a good setup would be

300whp or chp?

You can do that with a boosted LS, or any boosted b series for that matter. I think if you have access to good tuning a boosted b16 will own a boosted LS, its stronger and will last longer, just need the good tuning. To retain AC you are going to have to pay a bit more for your turbo manifold, but if thats what you want thats what you gotta do

use your civic harness on the teg motor.....you dont need the JDM harness...but keep it around...if you want it to be clean you will need to source some harness clips from the JDM harness for the VTEC add in.

So I could use the harness from my 95 cx hatch when I do my 95 gsr swap? Just keep the jdm harness for the vtec connection clips? Are all honda ecu's this interchangeable?
