anyone know where to have rods shotpeened

:bs: aftermarket rods /=/ aftermarket pistons. i know a guy who has built 3-4 solid, solid LS-Vtec's with eagle H beam rods and pr3 or p72 pistons. he also built a turbo'ed b16a with stock rods and aftermarket pistons...

I told some other members on here I was going to buy Eagle rods and use type r pistons and they said it will NOT work.

That is what I understand too. I thought you couldn't use aftermarket rods with stock pistons or vice-versa.

And about the cams, there is a slight lope to the idle and they will require some tuning, but they are much more agressive and gains of up to 22 hp are possible on a stock B18C1. But if you are not planning on upgrading the valvetrain, you should stick with the stage 1's and keep the redline around 7-8k.

buy some new rods, its what i would do, leaves more room for error. ill be a pal and recommend these- http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/i...threadid=34377 there a very reliable business, ive bought from them bfore, and there relatively inexpensive
