ok as for the hesitation it can be a few things such as a sticking fuel injector, vacuum leak, bad spark plug, shorting spark plug wire. but since it did throw a code for intake air sensor that is most likely one of ur problems, what causes the hesitation is the sensor is not reading air being sucked into ur car and it is overcompensating for this causing your hesitation on acceloration, as for the misfire in the cylinder, did the code say which piston (cylinder) the misfire was in? im pretty sure when it throws a code for a misfire it tells what cylinder the misfire is in which will greatly help in determining where the misfire is. hey man u can look for me on aol instant messanger if u want ill be on for awhile tonight (virtualpimp85)

well honda uses MAP so i doubt its the intake air sensor unless there is a recall. I would focus on the misfire, any misfire is a problem. Check each cylinder's plug, is it white like detonation/lean condition or is it fouled and oily. That will tell you whether its a fuel or ignition problem. Also check compression if your car smoke's, i know its semi-new but you never know who keeps up with their oil changes.

i got the codes from my buddy and they were P0113 (intake air temp. sensor curciut high imput) & P0300 (random multiple cylinder misfire) this is what he told me. Now as far as the cylinders you mean the actual ingnition coils or the actual cylinders?

If they are oily is there a problem?

thanks man

i meant check your actual spark plugs.
random misfire makes me think it might not be an ignition problem, pull your plugs and check the electrode's.

if hes getting that intake sensor code i would change the sensor or at least check the connector to make sure it is not loose. I thought u meant intake air sensor like the MAP sensor, u meant intake air TEMP sensor. Yea change that sensor or at least check it for resistance and post your findings here.

here is the picture of the airbox
in the illustration, #11 is the Air Temp Sensor.
hope this helps.

most def not the sensor. replaced it today. $40.00 & still runs the same. I checked the ignition coils & they seem to be ok. the car hesitates with the a.c on. on idle it runs smooth but as soon as u put some gas it hessitates!!!

Rob...

ps. anyone need a intake air temp sensor!!

have you shecked your timing? get a inline spark tester and test each wire. do some trial and error, dont be scared to play with it a little.

he doesnt have plug wires hes got a D17aX
coilpacks on top of plug shafts.
im going back to my original thoery which is that when u changed your plugs one of the coil packs was damaged or maybe some wiring is still loose OR NOT GROUNDED WELL.

either way i dont know why it threw an IAT code.
try reseting the ecu and see if it throws both codes again...probably only one.

I would go with the idea that its one of the coil packs, a bad coil pack always causes a hesitation. If you can maybe pick up a new one, and try switching it out with each one of the packs to see which on may be bad...Or better yet, have someone test the coil packs.....
