Default Suggest a good shift point for me, plz

This is my first engine build but for all that don't know here's the setup:
b18a bottom end,
b16a head with ITR Valvesprings/retainers,
JE Pistons 11.5:1 comp.
Eagle connecting rods,
330 cc injectors, and a bunch of other stuff that won't matter on shift point too much...
o yea... and a stock YS1 tranny (93 integra LS)
Now, what is a safe place to rev to, and what would be a good place to shift at? Would I be able to shift at 8 grand with no block girdle? I have a block guard just in case I decide to go with a bottle some time.

ANY HELP is appreciated and I'm sorry if everyone's mad cuz I know the question is asked 24/7 for different setups.

Thanks,

Harry

hmm... toughy....

A frankenstein build can rev to 8 just fine, but most people use a block guard to keep the main bearings in check. Without something stiffening the lower end, I'd be hesitant to run it much over 7k RPM, which doesn't give you much VTEC time.

ahh... Well maybe I can break the engine in and by that time I'll have some more money and maybe I'll just drop the oilpan and tray and put the girdle on without pulling the engine? I bet it's possible. I'll hafta ask z10 to make sure though.

yes you can put a z10 girdle in w/o pulling the engine. you have to get a bunch of gsr parts to make it work tho. i think z10 sells a kit w/all the extra parts you need
