Im going to go with a B20B, build it then turbo it. And this will be my daily driver, so probably nothing over 15 psi, but who knows.

So I would say that if you are planning a swap go with the LUDE NON-SH engine dont know the code by heart (H22 ?)

Whats your car so?
Whats your budget

you also got to pay for the engine mount kit lol get a B16A that has a stock 160 hp and add 20psi to it if thats not enough add nos and make your engine boom..

If you're gonna boost 15psi on a B20, might want to look into aftermarket sleeves. The stock B20 sleeves might not hold that so well.

Im planning on building the whole engine up before adding a turbo. Including sleeving it.

Well then you might as well just get a b18b LS block. They are cheaper and easier to come by.

I can get both a B18B or a B20B for $750, the reason for the B20B, I like the torque.

the B20 head is very restrictive.....go B18 and you will love it.....a stock motor will hold 20psi if you get a good aftermarket head gasket(inline pro) but needs tuned right.

you also have to look at the turbo you are goin to use...PSI doesn't break things so much as HP....look at the HP goal and the turbo used and you will have a better idea of what you need

You can resleeve the B18B and bore it to the same bore as the B20. You can find a B18B for MUCH cheaper than $750.

Stock motor CAN hold 20psi, yes...but not many people have successfully done it. Most of them end up with rods through the block.

actually most have just fried ring lands......I run 1.1 bar at the track on 114+93 octane mix on stock ITR internals with 92k miles with a thick head gasket.....that is on a FMU too...with a hondata or something like that you can run 20-22psi on those head gaskets safely on race gas

That's good for you, all I'm saying is it's not feasible for most people to do.

you can find a b18b block for cheaper than that, then have it sleeved and bored to 84mm or whatever you want and be way stronger than a b20.
