you need to ask more detailed questions than just "which is better"

This is a pretty wide-open question man. And, you're not even specifically defining which of these engines you want to know about. There's a big difference in the B18 classes - A/B/C1/C5 etc.

Can you refine your question a bit more and let us know what you're looking for?

B20B or the H22A, which one is better for turbo charging? Im leaning towards the B20B, now which can hold the most boost/create most hp. And which one is the easiest to drop in a 96 civic ex?

Well, boost shouldn't be your first question. You will spend a lot on mounts and various other parts getting the H22 to fit into your Civic.

The B20B will drop right in after changing to some other OEM mounts and getting the necessary items. The B20B will likely run better with boost because of its low compression and considering the proven power made with the B18A/B turbo applications on OEM internals.

Boost power is also relative to many other attributes of the engine. A motor with OEM everything and the basic fuel management will likely make good daily driving power at about 10 psi. The more you do to the internals and fuel management, the more you will be able to get out of the engine and the more boost you will be able to push.

Throwing a (insert make/model/specs of turbo here) on (insert some engine code here) is not a straight-forward question and is not something that you can just blurt a whp number out at. You need to research the different kinds of turbos, figure out what all you will be doing with the engine, research different fuel management components, and decide from all of that what you want to do. There's a million choices and combinations, you just have to figure it all out.

K20 dude well in fact the H22 or H23 have more potential but duddde K20s are chill as **** but depending on your bufget you wont probably be able to spend the bucks for a complete K20A engine with the RSX turbo because if you look for example at GReddy products you gotta find 3K$ for the turbo.. .you do not have an intercooler yet

So I would say that if you are planning a swap go with the LUDE NON-SH engine dont know the code by heart (H22 ?)

Whats your car so?
Whats your budget

you also got to pay for the engine mount kit lol get a B16A that has a stock 160 hp and add 20psi to it if thats not enough add nos and make your engine boom..

:eh:

Kseries motor's aren't all that and considering the cost and headache of fitting it into a Civic... not worth it at all. Just because a motor is bigger or newer (hype) does not make it the best choice for the application.

You can't boost 20 psi on a stock B16A.. you're killing me with this post man... :uhhok:
