That's rather impressive, mustang dyno's typically run a little below what dynojets read but I guess it's dyno to dyno too though. My '95 B18C1 in a '92 CX put down 164.4 hp and 124 ft/lbs on a portable dynojet.

I'll have to admit I was a bit surprised. I have read everyone saying that the Mustang dyno were a bit lower compared to the dynojets. I was expecting around 170 from a dynojet, but was surprised to hear that I had 173.75 from the Mustang Dyno. It can be as you noted that there may be dyno to dyno variation as well.

I know that the JDM B18C has a little more compression, but to that's quite a lot difference between your dyno reading and mine. Did you have any other mods on the car?

I've attached a scan of my run that they gave me. The only modifications I had at the time was an AEM CAI and a Tanabe RM exhaust. Stock exhuast manifold and a GS-R cat. I also removed the PS and A/C (my CX didn't have them anyway) and had a set of ES motor mounts (wouldn't affect a dyno but that was about it for mods). The car also ran a 14.4 at 96 at the track with some 195/50 generic tires on GS-R rims. A buddy of mine with a GS-R swap ran on the dyno before me and he only put down 150hp with a lot more bolt on's but we later tore that engine down and found the cylinder walls were in pretty bad shape so it wasn't getting good compression. You did turn some pretty good numbers for a GS-R. I'm suprised by the torque over my car considering they're both stock displacement.

This was done during the dyno day (9/11/04) at Exotic Performance:

http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com/

Dissapointing thing is that they plotted vs. time instead of RPM. Flat curve is the TQ and the other is the HP. The linear line is the RPM.

That's one trippy dynoplot. When I first looked at it, I though, damn that the weirdest dynoplot I've ever seen, then I realized it was sideways. Must be the way the mustang dyno works that they don't record it plotted against rpm but time.

Looks like that place has got some really nice cars for sale too, but damn are they expensive. Hopefully someone will be putting a dyno in around here soon.
