Default obd1 or obd2?

my car is obd1 right now, a 94 LS.

i am building my motor and wasnt sure if i should go to obd2, somebody told me it would be easier to fine tune.

b18c5 bottom end
b16a1 top end

i know a guy with an ITR ecu he will sell me, i just wanna know if i want to go through the trouble to convert to obd2 or should i just stick with obd1?

Stay OBD-1. I can't think of one good reason to swap to OBD-II, and a few not to.

Yeah, what he said! Converting is a huge pain in the ass. And it makes it more difficult to tune.

I've only heard of backdating an OBD2 car to run OBD1, not the other way around...

I've heard of people doing it because they got a good deal on an OBD2 EMS, and have an OBD1 car....

Not the best reason, but there are OBD1-OBD2 harness available...
