ok went to wire up everything under the hood tonight & that seemed to go really well.. i plan to do the ECU tomarrow... only thing strange that i ran into is that i can't take my key out of the ignition unless the battery terminal is unpluged..

i'm guessing it's got to do with the automatic tranny that came out of it.. probly like a safty thing that doesn't let the key come out when it's not in park.. if anyone knows what wires deal with this or how to fix.. toss some info my way so that things go smoother tomarrow!!

From my limited knowledge of auto/manual swaps, you need to take the cable from the automatic shifter and slide it into either park or neutral and then hotglue the sucker into place. I'm assuming there is some sort of sensor built into the system that won't let you crank the engine over unless it's not in gear. The shop I talked to, who've done auto/manual swaps say they usually leave the cable there, just out of the way and locked into place. I haven't done one myself, so I dont' know for sure. Good luck with it.

i've got everything under the hood wired up & i almost have the ecu finished.. i tested my starter by turning the key to the crank position & the starter spins so all i've got to do is finish up the ecu wireing & put my fuel rail & injectors in / hook up my fmu / & finish some vacume lines & i should be able to fire it up.. as long as i get the ecu wiring finished up tonight i should be able to fire it up.. i'm extremly close to being finished.. hope to be driving it this weekend!

Just realized that i was missing the 2 things that i need to fire up & drive my car last night..

1. Resister thing for injectors
2. Rear Motor Mount.. somhow almost forgot.. Not the mount it-self.. but the peice of metal that connects the engine to the mount! (i can barrow one from a friend for the week but does anyone have one laying around that i could purchase??)
