I have a 96 Integra GS-R, I was thinking of buying a chip or some sort of module for about $300 or less, but dont know what type is best so if you know about them from experience, let me know!

First off: you have an OBDII ECU (OBDII was federally mandated for all cars sold in the USA starting with the '96 model year) and it is "unchippable."

Stock Honda engines do not respond very well to chips and such anyway, as their engines are rather well optimized from the factory. There's not much to be gained in that department.

If you have a reasonably modified engine which is in need of tuning then there are any number of devices which will allow you to strap the car on a dyno and dial it in.

Get new shocks, improve the brakes, get better wheels and tires, etc etc etc.

With those kinds of mods to the engine any sort of messing with the ECU isn't really going to gain you much power.

I actually have a JDM uber-chip for the Neuspeed lowering springs. But you're looking at like $350 entry level.
