Hello, I have no experience with knock, and am hoping that maybe someone in this forum who does could possibly help me out with some pointers thanks.

At higher rpms I hear a fast pinging sound from my engine. I dont have any experience with this. Does anyone know much about knock and why it occurs? Any help is most appreciated.

(I cant believe my luck lately, ontop of problems with my car I recieved a "Notice of Actions under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act" )

 

Okay, I now understand why knock occurs. And I believe if what I am hearing is indeed "knock" then it is probably the result of my lean fuel mixture. I believe my engine is running lean only because the spark plugs I pulled out of my engine where burnt white. But How do I confirm what I am hearing is knock?
