I would HIGHLY recomend a hosit...or if you are like me, your neighbor has a bobcat...lol...we just used that to lift out the old motor and put in the new one...wish I would have gotten pictures

if you can get into a garage you can use a come along. I used it to pull a motor out before. just put a huge board up in the rafters of the garage and hook the come along up and pull the motor. works fine. My bro does it all the time.
