Default GSR intake manifold

I've heard that you can remove the plenums off the butterfly valves on the intake mani, which gives you better top end power, but crappier low end, has anyone ever done this or know someone that has? and would it be worth doing?

You can actually just pull the vacuum line off the diaphram and they'll stay open all the time. I never really noticed a difference when I tried it on mine, but then again, I never really drove like that for long. You'll still have the butterflies themselves in there, but I doubt they'll block much flow. I'd just leave the system working like it should.
