You can actually just pull the vacuum line off the diaphram and they'll stay open all the time. I never really noticed a difference when I tried it on mine, but then again, I never really drove like that for long. You'll still have the butterflies themselves in there, but I doubt they'll block much flow. I'd just leave the system working like it should.
