:eh:

First off... let's try some punctuation and complete sentences in your posts so that we can communicate with the fewest chances for confusion.

Secondly, a first gen ZC will bolt in, as will early integra engines. B-series engines will also "fit", but require aftermarket mounts. Any swap option is going to require you to completely change over your fuel system to EFI since your hf is carbureted, which includes the tank pickup, electric fuel pump, wiring harness, and fuel lines. You're also going to need to match up a set of axles based on the engine you choose, and what front hubs you use [you need to swap out the stock HF stuff for something with more strength].

Rather than just trying to figure out "what's easy", you really should define what your goals and budget is for the car, and how much time you're willing to devote to getting it done, because an '85 HF is not a good swap candidate if you're short on money, time, or patience.

But the econo models are so deliciously lightweight.

1stgenrexer, are you familiar with the details of the carb-EFI conversion... I've been looking into a HF-Bseries swap for a project car, and have plenty of time and patience :exnbp:

Basically, you need to take everything out of the HF that isn't in the Si, and put in everything from the Si that isn't in the HF as far as wiring and fuel delivery systems are concerned.

im not worried about time or money the cars been sitting for like 6 months, as far as money i dont have any to start with so thats not really a prob and a prob at the same time so yeah. and i still wanna know if its illeagal i live in a backwoods washington bumfu*k town so emissions isnt a prob and i have the car and i cant justify paying 300 for new rings and such when i can put a new engine in it and make it faster, also the lightweight car + good engine is exactly what every import car enthusiast trys to acheive so as such i dont wanna get rid of it yet.

White n Slow what kit are you talking about you got any other info on that

I didn't mention a kit

But anyway, HASport makes a kit to put the B-series motors into 1st gen crx's, it includes mounts, and has optional shift linkages wiring, ecu and axles.

To be honest, you'd probably be better off getting an '85 CRX Si and having a body shop remove the moonroof. Strip out the A/C if it has it, and you'll be acceptably close to the weight of an HF.
