Default Just Completed Swap

Hello everybody I have just completed my swap. It was a 2000 LS into my 1999 Civic. The swap is complete except for one little tiny problem......the immobilizer. Right now I am stilll running my 1999 civic ECU because of the little tiny problem. If anybody could help me out in any way I would really appeciate it. I must say though, I can tell my car is faster but I think if I ran the LS ECU it would be even more faster because of fuel mapping etc.

I thought I might add this too. OK the guy I bought the swap form Randy at Import auto salavge said that I dont have to go back down to odb1. He said I can run with the immobilizer. There are 4 wires coming out of the Immobilizer he said run the blue one to a25 and the red wire to a13 then the yellow/black wire to 12 volt power and then the brown/black wire to common ground. I did all this and it still doesnt work

You can't just bypass the immobilizer that way. I have tryed a lot of different ideas on the immobilizer topic and the best one without spilling out a how to steal post is just to replace the ecu with an earlier one. Let's assume your ecu is a 00, I thought immoby's came out in tegs in 01 but maybe im wrong. Just buy an ecu from a 99 ls teg. problem solved.

Here's another idea from my Honda head, buy the teg ign. switch with reciever for the immobby used at a salvage yard, also get the harness for the immobby
( I know a good place if you want the number pm me).
run the wiring for the immobby in your civic, it wouldn't be too bad just use your creative side....Take the switch to the dealership and replace it in the parking lot(or have them do it if your not at this level yet). and then tell the dealership you wish to get new keys made and that you did that swap. ask them to perform an all keys lost on the immobby and have a teg key cut for that ign. switch with a immobby key.

They will be able to make that new key work and in theory you would have immobby on your 99 civic. It wouldn't be on the gauges unless you were very talented and swapped that too but it would work in theory.

The above has not been tried by me yet, I know Honda/acura have like 5 different type of immobby systems. The newer ones are harder to bypass or mod. early ones were an ecu only deal, honda figured out the ecu swap and decided to make it harder and then the system used the reciever at the ign. switch. then so on and so on. let me find out the system that a 00 teg uses.

Yea if you could find out what type of immoby it uses I would reallly appreciate it. Right now I am running the LS on the civic ECU and I dont really like it. I know if I had the LS ECU it would be sooooo much better. I have all the parts that come with the immoby because I got my swap at Import Aurto Salavage and they provided EVERYTHING from the donor car. I have the teg's ignition, key, immoby, wires coming from immoby.

It's called a type 2 system, I'm still looking into how it all works to find a weakness...I'll pm it to you though, I won't post how to disable them.
