Compatibility question
I have a 95 GSR head being shipped to me and I was gonna wait until I could find a block to put it on. Today I came across a B16A block for a good price but want to be sure I can use this. I would like to know if a GSR crank will work in the B16A block, and I also just want to confirm that this would make my engine a 1.8L. Please get back to me asap!!! thanks all!
Also, what can I do about a transmission for this block? Is it cable or hydro?

Hmm, it's possible you could stroke a B16 using a B18 crank and rods but I'm not sure on that one.
What kind of transmission you use is dictated by what kind of clutch pedal the car you're putting it into has. If you have a '92-up Civic or '94-up Integra you want a hydraulic, otherwise you want a cable.
Also there are two sizes of B-series flywheels and clutches. The '88-'91 cable transmissions use one set of partsl; the '92-'93 cable and '92-up hydraulic all use the same stuff.

The deck height seemed like an issue for me but Crower makes a stroker kit for the B16 which is why I thought you might be able to put in a B18 crank. Hell, the Crower kit probably uses a stock B18 crank and custom rods.
