DO i have to buy Darton Sleeves and install them myself....Do i have to send in my block to get it sleeved.....or can i just buy the block sleeved by Darton

 

DO NOT attempt to sleeve a block yourself. And unless the shop you take it to is EXTREMELY experienced and reputable, I'd hesitate to do that either. Just have the sleeve manufacturer do it and ship the block to you. Its the best way to ensure quality build... the last thing you want is a sleeve dropping on you due to improper installation.

You buy the sleeves, find a quality/experience machine shop, take your bare block + sleeves to them, open wallet, bend over, and wait....

I have a similar question. I'm getting ready to swap in a b18c1 with sc61 turbo, full race mani etc.. I was planning on keeping stock internals for a while, but now am second guessing just because I know im gonna wanna crank the boost up. When you buy darton sleeves and get them installed, is it required to buy after market pistons and rods, or would the stock ones do?

 

its not necessary *per se*, but to rebuild a block (which would need to be done if you were sleeving) for heavy turbocharged use, and then throwing stock pistons and rods is pretty stupid. Either build it right the first time, or keep it stock and keep the boost low.
