Default I really need some help with my engine decision

Hello everybody my engine just blew and I'm in desperate need for a swap. A few of the engines I have been considering are:

H22
b16a

I drive a 1999 Civic EX with vtec
Heres my question: I went to www.hmotorsonline.com and saw this http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30003

So is that engine out of a 93 integra? Is it a good b16?

I would do a b18c1 swap. It is one of the simplest swaps that you can do.

i too say do a b18c1 swap. a high revving b series is more fun than an h22 with a 7k redline

h22.....actual torque and a will run 3 to 4 tenths of a sec faster than a b18c1. They will end up costing you around the same.

H22 requires custom mounts, (custom axles?) I'm not a big fan of it.
That swap you were looking at from hmotorsonline is going to have a cable tranny, you need a hydro to make your life easiest.

Go with a same generation motor as you have to make your life easiest OBD2B. Other generations aren't hard, but you have to do some wires here and there.

I dunno, if you blew a 99 motor, buy something cheap, cause it sounds like you wail on them.

I have or had a 99 civic EX also, check out the link in my sig, and go to members, then Derek's 99 civic. I motor threw a rod bearing at 71000 miles. I was preping the car for an H22a, bought everything that I needed for it, but then I couldnt find an engine that was 96 and up, or that was cheap enough for me to afford it at the time. So I just got rid of the car a couple of months ago, but I still have most of the parts if you want to buy something! Now I just have my 91 civic hatch with a B16a, a fun and reliable little car.
