Default Not running well...

My friend has an 87 Integra (that's all I know about the car) and it doesn't hold idle, it just dies. He says he can keep the car running at speed, but it dies when he stops. He also said that the car idles great when he unplugs the vaccuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator. Do you guys think he could just soak the fpr in some throttle body cleaner or something and have the car run okay after? Would replacing the fpr fix the problem, or are we looking in the wrong direction? Thanks for the help!

Sounds like he has a major vacuum leak.
