what causes miss fire?

Default what causes miss fire?

im getting check engine codes cyl missfire 1 and 4. what could cause that, i changed plugs and wires. could it be timing. anything would be appreciated.

Mis-fire can be caused by any of the following:
  • Fouled Spark Plugs
  • Bad Spark Plug Wires
  • Worn Distributor Cap and Rotor
  • Bad Ignitor
  • Bad CYL Sensor
Probably the most overlooked cause is the distributor cap and rotor though.

i changed the cap rotor plugs and wires and still getting missfire codes 71 and 74, wheres the cyl sensor located?

actually this weekend im gonna change the whole fu%king head, i have a spare ex engine so well see what happens. also the head im currently using has been shaved and port and polished and has aem fuel rail and pres. reg. intake mani ported and polished and tb bored. hopefully some of that crap is causing some problems......oh yeah its in my girls car........thats prol the problem
