Default Any Ideas? Car 'shakes' above ~40mph...

Hi guys, I have this strange problem, just started this weekend...

If I am going about ~30-40 local and I feel the car seemingly vibrate or stutter or it just seams as if there's something loose- either in the tranny or motor (sorry to sound so vague and non-technical, I can't really explain what it really is) It's only when I gas... If I gas around 30+, I notice it, however if I push it to neutral, but it goes away, so that eliminates any sort of wheel balance/bend etc. I only notice this vibration when I gas, and it seems that it's coming from the motor.

Only things that I can think of that happened recently is that I notice some oil leaking from the head/block area (where the block code is) don't think it's the cam seal- that was replaced about a year ago. Not losing too much oil, as I keep checking that it is good. Other than that, the only other thing is I changed the steering rack about 4 months ago, nothing else.

I ran a search, thinking it might be the head gasket, but not sure if it is it... I will take a look at the dist & plugs also.

Any idea's?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I am researching, and I think it might be some sort of minor mis-fire? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply,

Oh yea, forgot to mention that, no CEL, so I don't think it's a major mis-firing, if it is at all...

This happened last night, I didn't get to check any of those, but I did suspect it to be it.

I am going to just try to change the plugs tonight first.

Last night, I just did a visual inspection of anything around the wheels and such that may get caught...

The driver side mount is worn, but it's been like that without any issues...

THanks again s1ngle!

I just changed the plugs, even though they are about a year old....results...same problem. The wires were also about a year old.

Tried using a fuel injection cleaner (pour into the gas tank) nothing...

So far, it sounds pretty close to this guy's situation:

are you sure its not exhaust vibration? cause that would be easy to fix. Are you running a B18c?

Don't think it is exhaust vibration- depending on what you exactly mean...

This is getting annoying that I have no idea what this is...

I am running a B series motor.
