My 60' on my 12.6 run was 2.0 on street tires. I'm trying to keep it there with my DR's but with the power I make I spin all through the top of first and lose momentum into 2nd. I just need to practice...
ive been drag racing for awhile, never heard of scatter shield. what exactly is it? most everything is based on times, if you dont runs the time they cant say shit. that sorta why you see people leting off half way down the track, and running like 11.0 at 85 becuase they basically shut it down becuase of there lack of safefty equipment. that or there sand bagging so poeple dont know there times.

damn......they inspect the shit out of your car at the tracks aorund you. i find it hard to believe that they are gonna check for the scatter shield thing. how fast do you need to be to have to have one? is the track NHRA? if it is, ive read the rules and have never seen anything about scatter shield. and oh yea...............GET SOME SLICKS,lol, jsut messing with. im just looking forward to hearing what you run with some traction.
At the track here in Montgomery they could care less. I could run 8's and they wouldn't mess with me. But, there's a track about an hour away that will check this kind of stuff. They require the use of helmets in any car even if you run 22's. If you plan to put your car on their track you will wear a helmet. It goes downhill from there...
It also wouldn't hurt me to have one. It actually could be of some use if my flywheel blew up.

i live in DC, so there are numersou tracks with 2 hours of me. most are basically, ......................helmet required for 13.99 or lower, cage at 11.99 or faster, etc etc. there are other details, like "drive shaft loop required at 12.99 or faster" but most things like that arnt checker for unless you acutlly running in a class.
do yourself a favor and put an automatic in that thing, you go faster and wont break as much, lol.
